About your instructor

Welcome to Wise Monkey Wellness & Yoga, rooted in  Lower Mainland British Columbia. Discover how personal healing, mindful movement, and intentional sound journeys inspire supportive wellness experiences for every body.

From chronic pain to holistic purpose

Hi! My name is Annamaria. Before dedicating my path to wellness, I worked as a bank account manager, raised three wonderful children, and embraced life as a military spouse. For over eighteen years, I navigated persistent chronic migraines. After endless medical consults, it was yoga, meditation, and traditional Chinese medicine that finally unlocked transformative relief.

Inspired to share these profound practices, Wise Monkey Wellness & Yoga was born to help others release tension, quiet the mind, and restore vital energy.

Comprehensive training and certifications

My approach is informed by deep study and dedicated mentoring. My credentials include a 200-hour CYT certification, 150 hours of Kripalu training, and advanced anatomy study. I am certified in cupping therapy through the Ontario College of TCM, levels 1 and 2 sound healing, Yoga Nidra, Yin Yoga,  Chair Yoga, and Kid's Yoga.

Whether in local studio events, corporate workshops, or immersive retreats, every session is built on safe alignment, inclusive care, and genuine presence.

A gentle, pressure-free sanctuary

My teaching style is gentle, intuitive, and deeply grounding. You are invited to arrive exactly as you are, without judgment or pressure. Through nurturing guidance, breathwork, and healing vibrations, our spaces help corporate teams and everyday practitioners move past overthinking into clarity and calm.

When not leading sessions, you will find me baking treats for loved ones, reading with a hot cup of herbal tea, or rolling out my mat by rivers and coastlines.

"The energy felt completely natural and welcoming. Even arriving on my own, the session allowed me to quiet my racing mind and walk away feeling deeply rested, renewed, and grounded."
